Back to the Blog 4 (Vol. 3, No. 1)

Greetings, fellow travelers and welcome again to the John Maxwell Blog.  This is my fourth return to blogging (thus the title of the posting) and let me say, figuring out what do to here is hard work.  Ask anyone who blogs and they'll tell you what I mean.  After much thought, the system of how the Blog will work for me has come to light. 

Just let me explain.  You see, the posting system is similar to the one I began last year, of some new topic every day.  However, I've made a few changes to it.  The posting schedule has been reduced to weekdays only.  Also, all the new features on the Blog won't appear all at once.  That way, you can get excited when something new shows up.

Here's the lowdown on the new Blog system.  It begins with Mondays.  On Mondays, I will be postings chapters of my latest works.  One chapter a week until the finish, then begin the next one.  I hope this is something that works for me.  By the way, this will be the first new feature as part of the new Blog system, and the only one for awhile.

The next feature to start up will be a Friday feature called the Quantum Argonauts.  It's a science-fiction series based on the original concepts for the adventures of Cy and Conrad before Cy got his mother and changed the premise.  It features two nerds, their female friend, and a scientist as they try to contain their excitement over the sci-fi goings-on in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.  Each week, I will feaure one part of their latest adventure and the best part about this is that I plan to invite other writers to give you their exploits.

Finally, the last feature I wish to introduce is something called Writers' Wednesday.  Every Wednesday, I plan to bring to you a short story written by a writer in the Michiana area.  It can be everything: fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi, romance, westerns, whatever.  That feature won't start for a long while so I can collect the first batch of tales.  I'll let you know when that feature will be coming to the Blog.  Trust me.

About Tuesdays and Thursday, I plan to make those the days I publish non-fiction work.  Instead of themeing those days, I'll just write about anything off the top of my head.  Whatever facts, news, or trivia on hand will go into those postings.  There's a lot going on in this world and I'll do my best to deliver this news in a way that appeals to nerds, the audience I wish to reach.  The whole point of blogging is to reach those few who call themselves, as I do, nerd.

As for down the line aways, who knows?  Just imagine around Christmas (and we will be here for Christmas, despite what a certain calendar says to some of you) the return of last year's feature The Life of Oddley, this time starting much earlier and with some new twists.  In closing, let me say that the new features will be published every day at 5:15 PM.  I'd like to call it the 5:15 Express. Hopefully, I have finally found my way to bring you my work into the world and this time, I'll stay that way.
