Debut of the John Maxwell Blog

Welcome to a new blogsite called the John Maxwell Blog. I, the name mentioned in the title, am looking to introduce myself and my work to the world. How do describe myself? My writings, as I call them, are about what America is or was, depending on time period and people. I like the term humorist to describe for I feel that humor is the most human of all emotions. You can fake sadness or fear but you can't fake laughter.
Here on the John Maxwell Blog, I will offer my thoughts on this sphere of rock, magma, and water we call Earth. Since I start this blog on the last day of the first decade of the 21st century, this blog will serve as a record of my thoughts for the next decade of the 21st century. At the moment, I must mention, I am writing my first book, a work of fiction titled "Life in Hyperion", based on what I termed the modern American experience.
The book is divided into many sections and during the summer of 2010, I will give you my book one section at a time. For those of you who prefer to have the whole story, my goal is to get it publish by September 30, 2010. The reasons for that date will be known as you read the story itself and take it each and every word. I feel that many of you will read this seeing how summers in the time of Global Warming (which I capitalize because I believe it does exist) will be very hot (unless we do something) and will need something to do while surfing the web (if anyone still uses that phrase, which I doubt)
I hope that this, the final day of the year 2009, will be a time to reflect on the past ten years of the 21st century and hope the next 90 years don't see a change that we can't fix. This is John Maxwell, seeing you next year.
